Sheffield Steel Rollergirls are taking part in this year’s Goodwood Roller Marathon, the UK’s largest roller race, taking place on the 8th August 2010. The team will be completing the full marathon (26.62 miles), which is 11 laps round the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit!
SSRG will be raising money for their chosen charity – Sheffield Children’s Hospital, so are asking family, friends and fans for sponsorship over the months leading up to the event. The Children’s Hospital Charity (Registered charity number 505002) exists to support and enhance the services of The Children’s Hospital in Sheffield and its reputation as a centre of excellence for the research, prevention, care and cure of childhood illnesses, they are a great organisation and we couldn’t be more proud to be supporting them.
