Ms Moll, She-RARR, Violet Death, GlamGirl and Kim Oh No! took to the streets proudly wearing our orange kit and daring to be different. The idea to join in was Violet's but soon we realised that many of our families had been touched by cancer and that by giving up an hour or so or out time, we could give something back.
When the starting horn went off, we were half way down Arundel Street thinking we were close to the start but it took over 5 minutes for us to reach the official start. None of us realised that there would be so many participants and it was a fantastic experience running and walking with so many other women.
Kim took the lead closely followed by She-RARR, Ms Moll and Violet Death, but I am a terrible runner so just jogged and walked along.
I was surprised how quickly the time went and how hilly the centre of Sheffield is, but all of us finished within an hour or so and we celebrated in true rollergirl style by having a slap up breakfast.
In total we raised £215 and had a great morning of fun. Will we be back next year? Absolutely yes!
