Cheered on by home support, our rollergirls took to the track nervous but clearly exhilarated by the great atmosphere in the room.
After a walk-through and team warm ups, they were off. The White Stripes got off to a flying start, with Rogue scoring a 16 point jam and Sin's fancy footwork bagging her lead jammer on nearly all her jams. Bry Oh No! was jamming up a storm over with the Black Sabbaths, jamming 9 times out of 22 in the first half, some back-to-back. The first half ended White Stripes 156 - 47 Black Sabbaths.
To cheers of "Ozzy Ozzy Ozzy!" the Black Sabbaths made a fierce return in the second half, with Bry Oh No! taking a further 6 jams and 23 points. However, the White Stripes maintained their lead, and the final whistle brought a score of White Stripes 257 - 173 Black Sabbaths.
The Baby 'Belles did us proud: Bry Oh No! picked up Best Jammer for the Black Sabbaths, and Sin scooped Most Valuable Player for the White Stripes. Ain't no stopping you now, 'Belles!
